Robert Kubica is the best F1 driver. Thanks to his love for motorsport, he almost lost his life and health. Thanks to his determination and will to fight, he continues to drive at a high level

There are probably more astronauts in the world than Formula 1 drivers, and if we add the best in the world, the most talented ones, we only get a handful. That’s why Formula 1 cannot afford to lose the best, the most talented, those born with a steering wheel in their hands.

Formula 1 to keep the show as high as it should, full of excitement of racing, of course preferably without accidents, must have the best, after all, Formula 1 is the queen of motorsport. Sometimes Formula 1 manages to find such gems. Sometimes these gems have gone through different routes to get to queen the motorsport.

Unfortunately, sometimes these talents, these greatest drivers, lose that talent, or due to an unfortunate accident they stop driving in Formula 1. However, there is one talent that has come the hardest way to get to F1, and along the way and during the course of his life, he went through a lot of strange and unpleasant accidents. We are talking about Robert Kubica, the most outstanding driver, although the results do not show it, but his path and determination show that he is the best.

He comes from Poland from Krakow. A very nice city. Parents were never wealthy, and there was not much of a possibility in the country either. Please imagine that in Poland at that time there was no professional track to racing. Robert’s father drove several hundred kilometers for Robert to race. At the age of 14 he left for Italy, where he was alone. Sleeping in the garage, he worked as a test driver for Nico Rosberg. With time, he raced more and more, later he rode in higher categories, but he never had a sponsor, he had to do everything himself. He was such a good driver that even the flu did not stop him from winning races, and he raced in Formula Renault, Formula 3.

He has had many accidents in his life, in 2003, when he and a friend were traveling in a private car. He broke his arm then, and his hand was twisted with eighteen titanium screws. His accident in F1 looked even more tragic. On lap 27 at the Canadian Grand Prix, the BMW Sauber driver crashed into a concrete protective wall at 230 km / h. The car shattered to the ground, but Kubica was talking about the next start on the second day. At the time, it seemed that Robert was doing nothing about danger, because risk was part of his profession. But it’s different now. In the above-mentioned interview, he confessed:

“I’m especially sorry about my mother, I made her suffer a lot and she is afraid.”

He knows that he owes everything he has achieved to his parents.

A year after a tragic accident at the Canada Grand Prix, 2008 Robert wins the race, it was amazing. Many fantastic actions of Robert were shown on TV, how he chases Filipie Massa in the rain, what a fight it was. It is also worth recalling the fantastic driving in GP Singapor 2010. On YouTube this is the most watched video related to motorsport.

The year 2011 has come. Here it should be mentioned that Robert Kubica was not only an excellent Formula 1 driver, but also a Rally Driver. In February 2011, Robert took part in the Ronde di Andora rally. Unfortunately, he had an accident. The protective barrier pierced the Skoba Fabia 2000 car, damaging Robert’s hand. He was unconscious, had many operations and the hand has never returned to its former condition, there is a scar on his hand and he is partially paralyzed.

Specialist doctors in Italy tried to restore the original condition of the hand, unfortunately it was not possible.
Luckily, Robert is a hard worker and never gives up. He went back to driving a rally car to restore his self-confidence. He won many rallies, in the meantime he was testing racing cars. After a few years, he was given a chance to test in an F1 Renault car. Although leaving the garage with an F1 car was not one of the best, the tests showed that Robert with one fully functional hand is still the best driver.

After two years, in 2019, he returned to F. He joined Williams team. Many drivers were full of admiration and respect for what he did. It was the greatest achievement. He showed everyone that everything is possible, it only requires hard work and determination. He has conquered his Everest. Great respect.

Unfortunately, the Williams management team went out of their way to spoil the return of such a driver. Not only that Williams missed a few days for testing in Barcelona, they designed a car that was not suitable for F1, but for a shop display as a decoration. Thanks to Robert they decorated this one point. Their driver “number 1” scored zero.

Robert Kubica after a year, after one season, he had enough. He knew Williams had ruined his reputation. He became an Alfa Romeo test driver and at the same time drove for DTM and ELMS, where he wins everything possible to this day.

2021 in the Le Mans 24h race in the last two minutes on the last lap of the most famous race, where they were leading the entire race, their car broke down and they missed the finish line.
In 2022 he was the second, I hope he will win in 2023. Knowing his determination and will to fight, he is able to do it.

The best F1 driver Robert Kubica.
