Norway has introduced its first wireless electric vehicle (EV) charging road in Trondheim, developed by Electreon Wireless, an Israel-based company. This system uses inductive charging, where copper coils create an electromagnetic field to transfer energy to vehicles equipped with compatible receivers.
Continuous Charging for Electric Buses
This technology aims to eliminate the need for charging stops, enabling electric buses to operate all day without interruption. The trial will test three electric buses from the Chinese manufacturer Yutong and one from Higer, providing a diverse fleet to evaluate the system’s effectiveness.
